Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park general information

The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is a huge park with the border between South Africa and Botswana cutting right through. It comprises of two adjoining national parks: Kalahari Gemsbok National Park in South Africa and Gemsbok National Park in Botswana. The total area of the park is 38,000 square kilometers (15,000 sq miles). Two thirds of The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is in Botswana but most of the infrastructure is on the South African side.

Spioenkop National Park General information.

The Spioenkop National Park is located at the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountain range. It is close Bergville, Winterton and Ladysmith and that makes the Spioenkop Game Park one of the most frequently visited places by tourists including animal nature lovers. Still the Park is such a lovely quiet place to be in and everyone I know who’s been there wants to go back.

Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game reserve General information

The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game reserve was established in 1895 and is the oldest park in Africa. It is set in very beautiful part of Zululand about 250 km up the coast from Durban. It was originally two separate parks but in 1989 they joined the park into one. The whole area is now 96 000 ha (237 000 acres). There is still a public road and a “corridor” that cuts straight through. As the home of "Operation Rhino" in the 1950s and 60s, the Park became world renowned for its White Rhino conservation.

Ithala Game Reserve general information
Ithala Game Reserve is one of the less known National Parks in KwaZulu Natal. However the features of the park make Ithala to one the places you have to visit. This fantastic game reserve is located in the rugged Ngothse Mountains in northern Kwa Zulu Natal, overlooking the Pongola River valley. The altitude in the park differs from 400 meters to 1450 meters which gives a great variety of animals and beautiful sceneries. Ithala offers magnificent views and the best of Africa’s wildlife. This is a paradise for game viewers.

iSimangaliso wetland park

iSimangaliso wetland park former Greater St Lucia wetland park was renamed in 2007. It was listed as South Africa’s first World Heritage site in December 1990 because of its unique global values. The iSimangaliso Wetland Park stretches along the Zululand coast from Maphelane in the south to Kosi Bay in the north.
